Allison Lane office opens in Jeffersonville. |

Downtown Jeffersonville office relocates to Court and Wall Street. |

Charlestown office opens. |

Name changes to First Savings Bank, FSB. |

Floyds Knobs office opens. |

2008
|
First Savings Bank converts from a Mutual Financial Institution to a Stock Company.
First Savings Charitable Foundation was formed with a grant of $100,000 in cash and $1,100,000 in First Savings Financial Group stock to serve the needs of non-profit entities and community groups in our market.

2009

In October First Savings Bank merges with Community First Bank in Corydon. The addition of Community First doubles the total assets of the bank to $480 million and increases the number of branch offices to 12. First Savings Bank and Community First together service Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Crawford and Washington Counties in southern Indiana.
In December First Savings Bank announces a special dividend of $.08 per share and its intention to buy back 5% of the outstanding stock. Buyback of the stock is successfully completed at $10.40 per share.
