Effective February 1, 2026, First Savings Bank and First Merchants completed their legal merger. First Merchants is an Indiana-based financial institution with over 130 years of providing a dedicated, attentive banking approach and a strong commitment to strengthening the communities it serves. From humble beginnings in Muncie, Indiana, First Merchants has since expanded throughout Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
